My skin whenever I do the recommended nighttime treatment

I use my tiny bit of serum topped with a layer of vanicream light topped with a thin layer of vanicream cream.
It works better than slugging ever did, and it's actually comfortable.
Lmao This is so true. I can't stand feeling all that stuff on my face.

* Vanicream Lite Lotion
Like two or three times as much!! The tub cream is super heavy and almost greasy, so it's difficult to use during the day. The lite lotion, on the other hand, is almost watery, very easy to spread, and absorbs instantly.
You could always get both and mix them together, or try their new product (Vanicream daily moisturizer) which falls in the middle of the two in terms of thickness and moisture.

What’s been your cheapest but absolute best value purchase?

* Vanicream light: all year moisturizer, super gentle
* Vanicream regular: I add this over the light lotion in the winter
Vanicream Lite Lotion is very cost effective for a giant pump bottle that I use literally head to toe.

Realising that it's okay to just strip back to a rag and warm water to give my skin a break after like 6 years of consistent skincare use. [Misc]

Stripped it all back, went with a light weight cream, splash with water in the mornings and a wet cloth at night
Stripped back to basics was the best thing I ever did. Just water and a simple moisturizer for a few weeks
one basic moisturizer

What is the best foundation to use while going through the uglies/peeling phase, also looking for gentle exfoliators!

using only a light lotion after tret instead of the heavier ones I was relying on, thinking I needed them to prevent flaking...
Vanicream Lite, and Cerave are popular options.
