What the community says

Pros

  • Potent 10% benzoyl peroxide concentration aggressively targets acne-causing bacteria and inflammatory lesions
  • Versatile formula for face and body use, including tough-to-clear areas like back and chest
  • Well-suited for oily and combination skin types looking for a strong medicated cleanser

Cons

  • Extremely drying and can cause redness or break down the skin barrier if used daily or without moisturization
  • High irritation risk means it's often recommended only 2-3 times per week or used in rotation with gentler cleansers
  • May bleach clothing, towels, and hair on contact, requiring caution when rinsing and handling

I washed my face with a 2.5% benzoyl peroxide face wash.
I never used it before because the benzoyl peroxide pretty much has prevented me from ever getting pimples.
I had one single pimple… the reason I didn’t have a purge is because I use the benzoyl peroxide 2.5% face wash in the morning

Night - panoxly 4% benzoyl peroxide wash on forehead I let it sit for 30 seconds then rinse then pat my skin but leave it damp and apply aveenoo triple oat serum
my routine worked for me prior to adding it :)
I literally saw that the bumps shrunk by the next night but they fully went away I’d say by a week and now I just use my routine as maintenance:)

I've only used the BP wash twice so take this with a grain of salt, but my skin immediately looked better the next day. It is very drying though, so I'd recommend using it 2-3 times a week and then slowly build up usage from there.
